So this product I got from amazon. Great delivery and came within a few days. The product package included the Julienne eyelash & brow permanent colour, Julienne eyelash & brow activator, eyelash tinting brush and a glass dish for mixing. There was also a mascara looking brush that was included in the permanent colour box!

    I was rather sceptical of this product because I thought 'if you can do it at home, why does anyone bother going to a salon?'. So I thought it'd either have an average result or nothing would happen at all. WRONG. This product has changed everything.
    You can use it so many times as well which will probably save me hundreds of pounds in the long run! This tint you can use for both eyelashes and brows. I chose the dark brown shade. At a salon I'd go for blue black for my eyelashes, so I was worried the colour wouldn't be as good, but it came out excellently.
   You leave the product on for as long as you want depending on the desired shade- of course do not leave it on for too long, and READ ALL THE SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS before use!
    The thing I was worried about the most was how I'd use it on myself. Of course in a salon you sit with your eyes closed with cold cotton pads over your eyes. I was also worried about getting it inside my eyes.
     Basically how I did it was I applied it using the mascara brush, and put it on carefully as if it were a mascara, being sure not to get any in my eyes. If any gets in your eyes wash it out immediately- it'll sting a bit! I then used the brush to coat the places I couldn't get too, again being careful. I then just waited, I didn't need to keep my eyes closed- just continued using my eyes as normal (haha).
    Then after about 10- 15 minutes I used a wet cotton pad to remove the tint, being sure to close my eyes as I did it. Eyebrows are much easier of course, you just wipe!

Then all done. Ah yes I forgot to mention, you may want to put Vaseline in places you don't want the tint to get on, for example you eyelids!

All done, and now you have saved yourselves so much money!!!

Here are my budget beauty tips and holiday essentials that will assure that you are ready for your much deserved holiday without splashing out too much cash!

As I've previously mentioned, I have been lucky enough to receive some lovely little samples from Younique Make-up! How exciting! So in today's blog I will be reviewing some of their face products!

First of all I cleansed my face using Younique's Awake Facial Cleanser. To use this you get a little on your hands and add water to create a good lather. It lathered up really well and when I applied it to my face it was lovely and soft and didn't scratch or irritate my skin, like some other cleansers, which can be quite harsh on the skin, especially to those with sensitive skin. After rinsing and patting my face dry with a towel, I noticed my skin felt fresh and awake. I often suffer from fatigue, but this cleanser made my skin feel alive and left it feeling nourished and soft! I have continued to use this cleanser since my first try and have definitely noticed a difference. My skin looks naturally better when I wake up and it seems to have corrected blemishes and blotchy skin! Fantastic!

Next up from Younique was their Brilliant Daily Moisturizing Gel. To look at, it is a clear cream with little white gel balls. To apply I took a small amount and dotted it in all the appropriate places: chin, cheeks and t-zone. It felt really great on my skin and rubbed in well and easily. It had the right mix of silkiness and creaminess that left my skin feeling radiant without being oily. My skin is always a bit crazy to deal with as it's either really dry or really oily! I can never win! And I often think it could be down to the products I use. I loved this product because it met me in the middle. It gave my dry skin the boost it needed but also kept excess oils at bay, but left me with a healthy looking, natural glow. I have felt more confident since using this moisturiser, and you never know maybe soon I'll be brave enough to go bare faced!



Next I used Younique's Moodstruck Glorious Face and Eye Primer. This was probably my favourite product. I've never felt my skin feel so smooth! I applied small amounts to every area of my face that needed it. This Primer not only minimised my pores but also made my face feel ready for make up! It also seemed to correct my skin tone where blotchy. I was thrilled by the results of this product! It was the perfect start to my make up regime and I would definitely buy this product!


Overall, the face products I sampled were fantastic, and I would highly recommend them for women who want a fresh, awake feeling added to their daily make-up routine. If you, like me, are fed up of thick heavy moisturisers and scratchy cleansers, then Younique's facial products may just be the answer to your prayers!!

So recently my hair has been feeling a little sorrowful. I swear sometimes I can hear it weep a little!
'Help me Laura, save us!' my hair cries to me! And help it I shall. I've been desperate to find news ways of bringing life and thick, fullness back to my hair, and it often feels dry and brittle with plenty of split ends. It seems that even when you don't use heat or put you hair in crazy styles, split ends still occur.

So I recently was given the opportunity to receive some make up from Younique. Younique is a fabulous make up brand that is yet to take off in England. I feel so privileged to be one of the first to try out these lovely products!

I know from personal experience that finding the right make up brand can be a tricky and rather tedious task at times. Sometimes a product from one brand works and another doesn't and we end up with a wide range of products from various brands. So when I was contacted by one of Younique's presenters, I was extremely excited to try out some great new make up!

First of all I would like to say, that a lot of the make up reviews I have previously done have been more aimed towards students and budgeting, however I feel as though Younique products are aimed more at people who perhaps earn money or like to spend a little more money, as the products are a bit more pricey- perhaps a lovely gift or when you fancy treating yourself- Younique is perfect for when you fancy splurging a little! I think it is also important to remember that sometimes it is worth spending a little more money on a product that you'll wear all the time and gives you fantastic results. I know that I have often opted for the cheaper make ups rather than choosing a more pricey one, and have been disappointed with its poor results. When I have spent more on make up it has always given me better results and I never feel as though it is money wasted.

As I was kindly given a lot of samples, I figured the best way to do this review well, would be to do it in separate parts. So Part 1 will be on skin products! And I'll be uploading that very soon so stay tuned!!

So I went shopping for cosmetics the other day. I've never really bothered much in this area until more recently. My favourite thing to shop for is normally clothes, however recently I've discovered my new found love for cosmetics. Now I am still a student therefore I am not about to go out and splash the cash too much, so instead I found cheap alternatives and thus my review shall now commence...    

Boots- Simply Sensitive Toner
I've never really used toner. I have to admit to being really bad when it comes to beauty products and all you beauty fanatics will probably want to hit me when I say that I always use face wipes! EEEKK! However I want that to change. I already have a nice exfoliating face wash which you can find in one of my previous blog posts 'Spring Treats'. So after washing my face and having it feel super soft, I applied this.
What Does Toner Actually Do?
It says on the back that it sweeps away the last traces of impurities and make up, and revitalises to improve skin texture prior to moisturising.

I have felt as though my skin feels much more clean and prepared for the day/makeup, when I've used this. And as it's a Boots own product it was a fab price of only about £1.90! BARGAIN.


Seventeen- Stay Time- Long Wear Primer
This is fantastic. I never really understood what primer did before, but it acts as a glue for your make up. Meaning it stays on a lot longer. It also evens out skin tone and minimises pores. How excellent is that? And this cheeky little bottle was only about £3.45. It comes out in a flesh coloured liquid which feels quite tacky at first contact with your face, but it drys quickly meaning no waiting around before applying foundation. It's just a great all rounder really. I feel as though if I just wanted to go natural and only wear a bit of concealer or tinted moisturiser, this would be a great first base to assure what ever makeup I did have on would stay on, and would also leave my face feeling fresh!





Miss Sporty- Morning Baby BB Cream
I'd always heard about BB Creams and never even knew what it stood for. BB= Beauty Balm for those who were as silly as me. I wanted a BB cream as I'd heard great things about them. I supposed they are similar to tinted moisturisers, but more considered a foundation.
This one gives great coverage and makes your skin feel more alive. What I mean by that is it doesn't feel so suffocated by make up, like it might do with a regular foundation. I always feel as though I am being kinder to my face by using this! It goes well with primer and gives a nice glowing, glossy finish.

It also was a bargain of about £3.45.







Natural Collection- Powder
I absolutely adore Boots Natural Collection range. They are STUDENT FRIENDLY! Everything is basically under £3. How great is that! I needed a new powder because my last one, I think I dropped and it all fell apart which was very messy when it came to application and it went almost everywhere- not ideal. This little powder was only £1.99. It does everything a powder should do, so there is no excuses for buying a really expensive one when you are on a budget. This little guy does his job well!








Natural Collection- Concealer
I wanted a concealer and a highlighter but I didn't want to spend too much money- especially as some brands they are 2 in 1. So I had this idea about getting a concealer a shade paler than I needed so that I could use it as my highlighter as well. IT WORKED! This little stick was also £1.99 which is fantastic and it means you can leave the store not feeling too guilty for splurging the cash. It sets really nicely on the skin and covers up blemishes well. It'
s perfect handbag size as well, so no need to take a big foundation with you on a day trip, just pop this concealer in your bag and you're good to go!








Natural Collection- Lipstick- Moisture Shine-Coral Shimmer
I really wanted to get more into lipsticks this year so I thought I'd buy a few from Natural Collection seeings as their prices as so fantastic. I really like matte lipsticks but I couldn't find a shade I wanted, so I thought I'd give the shimmery ones a go. This is a nice natural colour which blends orangey tones together to make a good day lipstick. My only issue is the colour doesn't seem to be that noticeable when on. The shimmer is noticeable but it almost seems like a gloss or balm rather than lipstick and my natural lip colour seems still visible through the lipstick. However I actually quite like it because it means it is very natural and the gloss texture makes my lips feel lovely and nourished and it'll be great for popping in my handbag for a day trip- just for topping up!

Natural Collection- Lipstick- Sheer Natural- Honeysuckle
This review is pretty much the same as the previous as it is the same brand of lipstick. The only difference is the shade. This is a more pinky shade and actually matches my lips well which is good as it looks as though I am just wearing a shiny lip balm. I do have a criticism of these lipsticks however, and that is that the break off too easily. You know when they break at the stem and fall in your lap and then you have to carefully apply for fear of it falling in your lap the next time- yeah that happens. However it's never really caused me much trouble, it's just sad to see a new lipstick broken.

L'oreal Paris- Matt &Messy- Shine Free Salt Spray
I'm trying to take better care of my hair so I wanted an alternative to straightening and curling it. I really like messy hair and messy waves so I brought this in the hope that it'd create lovely scrunchy hair. Unfortunately it didn't. But to be honest my hair is naturally very straight so perhaps it just doesn't like my hair. It does however, give more volume to my hair which I am pleased with. Just because it didn't work much on my hair doesn't mean I will stop using it and trying it. And you should all try it as it seems a good product and if you have hair that takes better to it- it'll look fantastic.

TRESemme- Breakage Defence- Hair Masque
I was in desperate need of a deep condition. My hair has felt so broken recently and weak and I'm not entirely sure why. This is great and I've used it for a few years now. It's in a big tub which lasts a very long time- depending on how much you use. You leave it on shampooed hair for a few minutes and then wash off and it leaves your hair feeling so nourished and soft and silky! It also smells ridiculously nice and you exit the shower feeling as if you've been to the salon! It was around the £4 mark I think which is great for what it is. It always seems to be on offer as well so look out for it!!

So Spring is a beautiful season, and as previously mentioned, it's a great time to pamper yourself. It starts getting warmer which probably means you'll be wearing cooler clothes and having more skin on show. This means you have to pamper and treat yourself whilst looking after that skin!
Here are a few of my personal faves at the moment, that I use and have found to be greatly successful!

Nivea Lip Butter- Raspberry Rose 
This is gorgeous. It really is buttery and feels a lot thicker and moisturising than some lip balms. It also smells like a raspberry milkshake- which is really all I look for in a lip balm flavour! Mmmm Delicious!! It makes me lips really soft, and to be honest I always neglect my lips and suffer bad cases of chapped/bitten lips, and this honestly has really helped!!!

9/10 Only down side is it doesn't taste of much- but that's okays as I've been told its not good to eat lip balm anyway!!!








 SunKissed- Self Tan Mousse
I have finally found this incredible product!!! praise the lord! If you're pale like me, it's sometimes good to give ourselves a little glow. Who cares if its fake- its so much better for your skin anyway. This product genuinely does smell better than most- it has a sort of coconutty smell which is lovely. Of course all fake tans smell a bit but this was a lot more bearable! It also has much more olivey tones which I think give a much more natural looking tan, instead of looking orange. I also noticed that's it wears of very gradually and doesn't go scaly or patchy! Success!!                   8/10



Beauty Formulas- Australian Tea Tree- Exfoliating Facial Wash
This makes my skin super soft! It's non abrasive, so your skin doesn't feel sore or stingy after using, which makes me happy! Its great for lathering up with water for a really refreshing wake up product. It makes your skin well prepared for day make up, and makes you feel like your skin is really clean and healthy! Wicked!


7/10   The only downside is it doesn't not have exfoliating balls in it which I expected it to when I bought it. They are usually really good at  getting rid of dead skin. So whether or not it does that less or not I'm not sure. Nevertheless my skin has never felt softer!




Neutrogena- Visibly Clear- 2 in 1

I've actually had this for a while, but it's really good and lasts a long time. It can be used simply as a face wash, or a face mask, which is fantastic as it means you don't need the separate products!! A cheaper way to beautiful skin!  I think it works really well at unclogging pores, as when I've used it my skin does seem to break out the day day. Some of you reading this may think that's bad- but its not, the break out has to come out, it won't just disappear, so this speeds it up and gets rid of them quicker!! Because of this i;d advise using it a few days before an event or party, so that you don't have a break out on the day you have to be somewhere! Nightmare ah!


8/10 Simply because there are always new products to find and explore, and I of course am yet to try them all. However I love this product and use it often!

Beauty Formulas- Rejuvenating Glorious Mud Facial Mask

I bought this for coming back to University, as it was only £1! Amazing! It smells really nice and does leave your skin feeling fresh. It perhaps doesn't have such an extreme effect as the Neutrogena, but for sure this is a product you could use for a little treat or more frequently to maintain your healthy skin. It says it control oil and absorbs impurities and unclogs pores, so that's definitely a heads up towards better looking skin I'd say!



7/10 My skin does feel and look great, but I think the Neutrogena has the edge for me. But that doesn't mean I don't love this product- it's great for putting on and relaxing whilst watching a movie!!
